Bill and Ellen: We are Bill and Ellen Davis. Bill has retired from a teaching/building/insurance career and is now doing family and marriage counselling. Ellen has retired as a nurse. We spent 18 months in East Malaysia doing humanitarian work for our church so now what do we do? Grow Lavender! Gardening in the Pacific Northwest has always been an enjoyable challenge as we both love being outside and playing in the dirt. We have been looking for a way to use our beautiful pastureland and after much research and contemplation and prayer LAVENDER became the ‘choice’ because it is quite a pleasant crop. Also we meet lots of pleasant people who like lavender as well. We began our project by planting (with the help of friends and family) over 1100 baby lavender plants. Those babies just took off wanting to bloom. What a beautiful sight and smell.
